I'm Sara Mengesha, founder of MEIO Interiors — a residential interior design studio shaped by over 15 years of experience across Dubai, London, and now France.

After a decade working in the fast-paced design world of the Middle East, I moved to London in 2014 to focus on high-end residential projects. Two years later, I launched MEIO Interiors to work more closely with clients and create homes that feel truly lived-in. In 2019, my family and I relocated to Le Vésinet, just west of Paris, where I continue my practice today.

My Swedish roots naturally inform my work — I’m drawn to the quiet elegance, simplicity, and functionality of Scandinavian design. But I don’t follow a fixed style or formula. I believe a home should reflect the people who live there: layered, personal, and evolving over time. Each project is a curated harmony of materials, textures, and pieces with meaning.

I also believe that the original architecture of a home should be respected. For me, the challenge lies in finding that delicate balance — preserving the spirit of a place while gently weaving in contemporary warmth and character.
